grad night duty was quite ok. rather fun being a bouncer actually *imagine teenagers-in-black bobbing up and down on the spot* haha. and i'd feared the worse of 2 situations.
well, in a nutshell, everyone looked nice in black (black is a good slimming colour) and we did our duty well! or as the i'c of that event would say, it was a success, albeit with room for improvement.
joy, joel, james and i frosted the glass panels, only to find out we didnt have enough snow spray, but the event planner had this backdrop that blocked the glass doors. tsk tsk.
and being teamed up with more guys than girls doing the bouncer duty, you are bound to get irritated. such an example is stated below:
JAMES YAP, MOK KAICHUEN & MICHAEL DA SILVA ARE EVIL PEOPLE!cos they stole my camera for a good 20 minutes, and naturally, marie gets flustered.
and i bet it was soooooooooooooo fun for the 3 guys to see me go crazy. *sense the sarcasm*
in return, i stole james phone for 10 minutes. neither did i expect that the person calling to be one of the councillors (i'll get you for that!) and so i gave the phone back. sigh, marie is just too nice.
anyways, like many teenagers, we cam-whored, despite it being NOT our own prom. HAHA.
while we were sian of our duties and waiting and lazing around, many of us took turns playing card games on the laptops at the reception area. hearts, spider solitaire, freecell (which so many people have no idea how to play...) yeah it was a good time to while our time away...haha.
to end off before photos galore, we ended late, like 1 hour behind schedule. mum even got a box of chocolates from SC cos she sponsored some stuff for the grad night. hee...

heyo hill! congrats in getting 1st choice! i'm proud of you! J2 grad night later, where i'm a bouncer =.= 1 of the 3 girls out of a team of about 10 who are bouncers for the night. *faints* guanwen was just telling me that bouncers are usually 2 big gigantic guys, and not 10+ teenagers. haha, and i added that to portray the persona of a bouncer, in addition to donning an all-black outfit (which may even blend us into the nzl rugby team-the
all blacks) we should also wear shades, leather cuffs with metal studs and stand at the door with arms folded. and we should be called
TIB *teenagers-in-black*, i quote guanwen. =.= now i just gotta wait and see what will happen tonight, bet everyone is excited about tonight.
lunch with senior steffi tomorrow then flying off to the other side of the world for a well-deserved break. damn, hope time flies, so i'll be back soon! yet again, i need time to drag, need time to rest my tired soul. ARGHH.

whee yesterday was a happy day when the 2 partners went to town together after O1 meeting! lunched at subway with partner, nadine, liselle & arthur before we went forever 21 at wisma to get partner's LBD and my beading materials from arab street! (: nadine came along to forever 21, and gosh it was fun browsing through all the pretty dresses (esp those with retro-like bold prints) on the racks (: nadine left with arthur (who came along for lunch) to kino/library and partner & i took the train down to arab street to get our stuff! ooh, it was like going down to arab street with joyce all over again! (: partner and i got our stuff and so we are happy girls! (:
and so the family spent the after-dinner time watching 'catch me if you can' (: and joyce came over on saturday to try out some dresses. (:
ok i sound very incoherent.
as i just recalled, it was about 1 year ago that i ended my Os. wow how time flies. 16th nov'06 was the a maths paper 2 and chem paper 1 & 2. then they started the a maths paper later cos george w. bush was in s'pore and they didnt want anyone late for the exam. haha. vivo with the girls...retro party the next day, oh and we watched the movie step up, posh lunch, PAE briefing, sushi, grad night, council farewell, james bond movie, night at the museum, blah blah blah, wow, TIME SURE FLIES. and next week i'll be going to USA for my hol again, just like last year. wow wow wow. it's 2008 next year, and i'm not at all prepared for J2 and probably the most major obstacle of my last 17 years of my life: A levels. omg. A levels. i'm not ready for it.
i wanna remain a kid! without a worry in the whole wide world! arghh. i want sentosa outing again! promenade preview again! all that times we spent together again!
when can i get that kind of life again?
or should i just delude myself and live in denial?

i've been lagging in my posts. well, not that i can help it- my hols have been quite mundane since the sentosa. so i think i gotta wait for smth super interesting to happen before i have the mood to blog. so this will just be a quick update.
mum brought me out for shopping at tp on sunday. tp actually has a lot of stuff to see, but you gotta know the right places to go. lucky us, we ended up spending abt $100 at a giodarno sale, earning ourselves a lifetime and international membership. (:
monday till now has been quite boring. SC meetings for O1, hw and a lot of other rubbish, yeah that kinda says it all. been playing Sims with sis, getting kinda hooked onto it, which explains how we can play for a few hours at a go. and taught sis the egyptian rat race game i learnt at the sentosa outing. now i'm getting owned. =.=
anyways, sis and i realised the need for exercise. get outselves fit, cos i think we're feeling the effects of a no-exercise regiem.

today's class outing at sentosa was GREAT! omg. can't believe i was even thinking of missing it cos of rain and such. thankfully the rain cleared up soon after we reached sentosa, if not our day would just be quite miserable cos of the weather. anyways, i enjoyed today thoroughly, and i believe everyone who was there enjoyed it just as much as i did. (:
started my day out late and probably agitated, cos i woke up late =.= and i missed the visit to the columbarium in church to visit my 婆婆 and 姨婆 with mum. met the rest at habourfront, waited a while and left for sentosa via the monorail, which turned out to be an interesting experience. (:
reached siloso beach. laid our stuff down and the rest went to play volleyball while guin and i talked and mandy & clarisse walked on the sand and watched the rest play. had belated cake cutting session for our dear pccg and clarisse and for everyone else whose birthday was around nov/dec. then more people slowly came: alston, andrew, johan, david & jethro. and that brought our total head count to 18 out of 25! (: what a good turnout! (:
so we played volleyball, soccer where i played goalkeeper (yes, marie can play soccer, and can play keeper.), touch rugby and ultimate frisbee. a few things happened while at our games:
1. soccer: chris kicked the ball at my leg and i blocked the goal, but oh gosh, for that 2 seconds is was kinda stinging. but of course it's all better now. no pain. (:
2. hubert taught us touch rugby. kinda took a long while for us to get the hang of the game. touch rugby was a challenge for many of us. had to turn our playing field around for a more progressive game. during which, i helped mandy score a try. HAHA. WHOO! (:
3. during rugby, i was physically violated by clarisse. HAHA. clarisse, you know what i mean. HAHAHA.
4. martin got hit in the face by this guy. it sent him crashing to the ground. OUCH. poor pccg. at first the guy didn’t apologise, but thank goodness he did in the end, if not everyone would be so freaking pissed at him we’d just be cursing him the rest of the day.
then later after some rest, most of them went to play with the water while guin, hubert & i just sat with our stuff, chatting and talking rubbish, cos we weren’t exactly allowed in the water. guin and i buried hubert in the sand, but quite unsuccessful with only 2 people at the job. but later the whole class helped in burying hubert in the sand again, gave him a female's anatomy and a mermaid's tail. haha. (: got a 8+min long video of the whole process on james' phone. yayness.
then guin and i left, cos we had dinner elsewhere. and the beautiful sunset sent us off back to reality ):

my meeting up with joyce yesterday was a blast! after about 2 months...we met at bugis cos of our plan to walk to arab street and stuff. we chatted A LOT, and gosh, it felt so nice to have a good conversation with joyce after such a long time.
lunch: at a branch of jack's place. we wanted the students' meal and were excited about it since we were all hungry (esp me) but we later found out that the students' meal was only effective from 1.30-5.30pm. (we were there at 12.30pm) damn. in the end, we decided to go with the set meal, since it was the next meal best worth our money. HAHA. what a pity we couldnt get our 2 scoops of ice-cream ):
journey to arab street: joyce couldnt remember the exit to arab street. so we went looking for the mrt station, which we had A LOT of difficulty, considering that the escalator to the mrt station was quite hidden. HAHA. then it was a quick 5 minute walk before we reached the much anticipated arab street.
arab street: we went searching for my beading supplies and joyce's clothes for her J2 grad night. quite fun walking along the walkways of somewhat traditional shophouses. i am such a sucker for all these stuff. thanks joyce for being so patient with me while i was browsing through the beads thingys. HAHA. and i spent so much on my supplies. oh and there were loads of fabric for those traditional costumes. really pretty with all those embroidery and stuff. (:
bugis: we window shopped a lot. bought some stuff here and there, both joyce and i. arghh i had a fettish and a weakness for retro stuff now- bold graphical prints. and this really cute dress at the shop called 木 mu (wood in chinese) haha. bought a sling thingy for my hp, useful in occasions like orientation and stuff like that. HAHA.
then it was home sweet home.
on my way home at novena square: bought hair sticks. like chopsticks for the hair. had the inspiration and urge to have a go at it after yza was putting her hair up last sat. (:
anyways, time for bed cos of morning mass tmr. in short,

OP IS OVER!PW IS HISTORY!I'M FREE!*that's enough suanning for those who have OP bugging them* good luck, people.
OP was ok. at least, i thought it would be better without the MOE MODERATOR around. arghh. of all groups. and later, i blacked out during the skit. for like 2 seconds. and what did i use to cover up that HUGE STUPID killmenow BLUNDER was a long "hmmmmm" before my line came to me "now dont go on about your rights to play and now you're telling me it's for a good cause?!" like OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG. at that moment i thought i was gonna die. *slaps myself* thankfully, my part of the presentation went fine; i added a few words that i hadnt added in during previous dry runs...but oh wells, it wasnt noticeable, i hope.
finally got the dates of my trip confirmed. LONG trip. dont know why it's like that, not like my opinions matter. i'm not particularly excited about it, cos that means having to be away from home really long. and if i get sick while i'm away again, i think i'm gonna start cursing and all that crap.
anyways, i can look forward to tomorrow, when i'll be meeting my joycey woycey!
