the one thing that's getting on my nerves now is that the BBA office prints my name wrongly for my namecard and refuses to change it; apparently it's my fault for not checking that my name was spelt correctly. darn it. i'm pissed. thank goodness it's free cos it's the first set, TSK.

i think i've been quite disciplined all week by going home everyday straight after school? decided to ask mum to let me go out today, and was quite glad she allowed me to (: met him for
new york, i love you, which turned out to be the likes of an independent film more than a hollywood blockbuster as i previously thought. walked around bugis afterward for a while at my request (:
since the new year, i've been resisting the great temptation to buy clothes, shoes and accessories, but today i decided to buy the stripped cardigan that's been on my christmas wish list for ages, and a pair of shorts since i felt i lacked shorts to wear. to make matters worse, some new shops and stuff on shelves at existing shops at bugis (note to self: tiered skirt at
yatch 21, black floral pumps at
mitju and stripped tank dress at
cotton on) caught my eye. ): and so, should that be on my CNY list?
aunty s.w. is arriving in singapore in about 1.5 hrs time, which is great news since she didn't come back the last new year (she made 2 trips back to singapore in 2008 so decided to skip new year 2009) and i (and ernest, i know you wanna be included here, right!) am kinda looking forward to the crumpets aunty s.w. will (hopefully) bring back! <3
so off to dinner now! or we'll be late in leaving home to pick aunty s.w. up!

had a few heart pain moments the last few days. for one, school has begun, so that marks the end of the december hols, which i thoroughly enjoyed. second is that i just spent $190 on new textbooks for this sem! it's probably quite a silly thing to do, some of you may think, why not just buy second hand books right? well, my not-so-pleasant experience last sem made me wanna just get most of my books new. moreover, it's quite hard to find the books that i need since i'm looking for the latest edition and that some titles i require are only into it's first edition. sooo.......yeah, money, fly away....... last is the little episode i had at home last night, kinda got me upset, so my mood today is pretty sombre of sorts. trying not to think about it, but it's hard to avoid it since it'll always stare in my face? aye. no worries, i'll be fine, or so i hope.

though i'm pretty sure my blog is hardly visited by anyone out there, here's a shoutout, wishing all you peeps a very
HAPPY NEW YEAR.
can't believe it's 2010 in the blink of an eye, well, i was actually bejewelling on his iphone when the clock struck twelve. so much for a count down haha.
some resolutions for 2010:
pray harder. study harder.
mum told sis and i a moment ago that resolutions are meant to be broken (i raised my eyebrows when she said that) but i guess it makes quite some sense. even if anyone thinks it shouldn't be broken, mum did add that resolutions weren't easy to be kept in the first place. so don't worry if you find it tough to follow your resolution(s), the most law-abiding man will probably have as much trouble doing it as you and me.
having read ML's blog a while ago, i shall embark on a mini recap of 2009:
1.
post A-levels: nothing much to say, cos i think it's pretty self-explanatory. FUN is the word, and oh how i wish it'll never end. but i'm grateful for that long break, it's just well-deserved. (:
2.
SBA job: another thing i'm so grateful for. perhaps i should have categorised this under post A-levels but i think it deserves a heading of it's own. in my eyes it's the most awesome job in the world, since i'm doing something i absolutely love (and getting paid for it HAHA)
3.
shopping: i've gone so much shopping over the post A-level period (including now!) i think i've evolved into the shopaholic that i am! i'm patiently waiting for my atom orchard (inside joke between ernest and me), but for now i'm pretty contented with ion orchard and the new 313@somerset. oh no. this is a sign, and maybe another for 2010 resolutions- to cut down on the shopping!
4.
uni: it has been quite good. sem 1 has been filled with much novelty and stress. exams weren't too good (believe me when i say it's an understatement) but let's not think about that lest i start flooding this post with undue pessimism. starting sem 2 in 10 days, and the key is to WORK HARD.
5.
third time lucky: don't wanna say anything too explicitly, since i think it's quite unnecessary. but i'm happy that hefoundme/ifoundhim. (:
cheers to a wonderful year ahead for you and your loved ones! (: while 2009 has been quite good, i'm hoping 2010 will be better, and nothing short of AWESOME.
