the past week has been pretty much lots of rest. but yesterday was really a day of another kind- ernest and i went around 2 parts of town on our little photo-taking trip. the result? absolutely so much fun, and amazing pictures (: got a handful here, might not be the best cos i wanna leave the best for ernest's fb album. after all, he took the best (:

the past week...has been a mixture of ups and downs. blogged about the down already, so to prevent my blog from being so grey and gloomy, here's what's been happening the past week.
finally mum and dad allowed him to drive me around, and on wednesday we headed to chinatown. before that we went to the minds thrift store at alexandra area to look-see. bought a second hand mango top and had ernest hide it for me :D after that we went for some nice cantonese food at the chinatown food street (their la mian has great consistency), before spending a long time trying to find the bead shop that mum brought sis and i to years ago. we finally found it after searching 4 malls in the area. and i couldn't leave without getting my hands on some pretty charms for my new collection of accessories (:
thursday we headed to town. went to the swco thrift store near my workplace, and then had another cantonese-ish lunch at victor's kitchen at the nearby sunshine plaza. their HK summer tea simply put all other types of milk tea to shame! walked around bugis after lunch until it was time to meet the 4/1 people at timbre. timbre was really great with the girls, with pizza and drinks and loads of
talk, especially with jianeng and shona around! the whole experience (and it's my first time at timbre) was quite good (: left the girls early to join ernest, liselle and nic for dessert at holland v, which was another pretty good experience too (what do you expect, put ernest and nic together and they'll crack you up all night!)
friday, ernest and i headed back to holland v to have lunch at everything with fries! and true to their name, everything does come with your choice of fries, down to even its size! walked around the area and explored the shops, before realising that we had to rush home to prep for the garage sale that weekend!
the garage sale went quite well! it's hard to put the experience into words, so pics tell a better story. a big thank you to those who came down to sell their stuff and those who came to support!
and i just recalled that the previous weekend i went for my first jamming session with ernest, liselle and james! fun experience too, waiting quite eagerly for the next session! (:

never really felt the way i did today for a long time. it's been a while really, and i guess it was meant to happen right about now.
my first week of being a 20-year old hasn't been very good. it seems to me that 1 week each before and after my birthday, that something that plays with my emotions decides to pay a visit; somewhat like a reality check. and then the rest of the year then seems more or less enjoyable, if not bearable.
i try to find solutions, if not alternatives to the somethings that visit. he told me today, though, not to take it upon myself to make things work out. it's probably in my nature to look for alternatives to things i can't do; somewhat like being in council again- plan A rejected, time for plan B.
after this episode i've learnt to share a little more, with him and others.
things can get so different from now. need some strength from Big Papa above, so maybe it's time to talk to Him before i turn in.
but one thing i won't share is my food that i don't intend to share. in case you were wondering, wild monkeys at macritchie stole the unopened bag of dorittos we had.
i pray tomorrow will be a better day.

happy birthday to me!yesterday marked the day i turn 20. there were some small celebrations over dinner- saturday was with the family at Romano Ristorante at upper thomson, sunday was with some cj people at vines (thanks to ernest's secret plan), yesterday was with ernest and the family (ernest conspired with my sis! o.O) . there're still some to come, with the ij gang and i think the uni girls, but that will not be for a while more. the birthday celebrations are quite spread out which is good in way; won't go broke. hahaha.
shan't say too much over here, after all, i'm not very good with words. pictures say a thousand words and in a much better way than i would describe it so they'll be on facebook or in my com :D
however, i do have to say a million thanks to all the people involved in the celebrations thus far.

my nose has been killing me all evening. been sneezing like crazy since dinner and for most of the afternoon for that matter. sucks lah. hope i don't get sick; i wanna spend my 20th basking in fun, without a care in the world.

it's just under a week till i turn 20. many things have happened.
i'm feeling quite lousy now, after a terrible night.
i had a terrible sleep.
my laptop is infested with ants, lotsa ants, how on earth, i've no freaking idea myself.
i dunno how to clean my laptop up. APPEALING FOR HELP HERE.
birthdays will never be the same anymore.
nothing IS the same anymore.
the only saving grace the entire morning: max is finally back with my 'i <3 NY tee' and the NY yankees baseball cap for my lil sis.
this is a lousy post, just like my mood. urgh.
