Again, I haven't posted in about a month and this post is backdated.
In this month, the highlight was last week's final Budak Pantai concert. 'The Final Countdown' concert as it is also known, it's Budak's swansong before they officially disband.
I loved practically all the songs they did- many super old songs that I haven't even heard them sing despite supporting them for 4+ years out of the 20 years they've been singing together. And those old songs were pretty good too. There were also plenty from their more recent albums which I love too, not forgetting a Christmas song and their original composition, 'Abuden', which came with an instructional dance video on YouTube which we could learn prior to the concert. (Btw I can sorta follow the dance steps now haha it's a really fun song!)
I've grown to appreciate things that are more tongue-in-cheek, and with Budak, one can expect nothing less than that, plus lotsa humour and current affairs! I'm gonna miss the Blue Moo gigs on the YMCA rooftops every 2 - 3 months ): thanks Budak, for the joy, and Ernest, for introducing me to a wonderful local a Capella group. I will remember how I got started on them when Ernest brought me to their concert in the Esplanade in Dec 2009, and how we have ended our journey with Budak in the exact same place in May 2014.
On a side note, Buddy was discovered to have hermatoma (of his left ear). A vet visit followed and after 2 weeks of medication, his condition has been getting alot better (:
Last thing, bond is ending in a couple of days (WHOO HOO), promotion is coming and most importantly, UK IN 2.5 WEEKS :D
